Have been working on a new version of Lateral characters…
Now you have this:
- The use of sideview characters with 8 frames, animation for idling and walking, mirroring when going right. Affects characters with @ on their filename.
- The use of topview characters with 8 frames, animation for idling and walking, smooth rotation for the 8 directions. Affects characters with # in their filename.
- The use of sideview characters with diagonal rotation, if you happen to add @ and # both to the character filename. The uses I think of for this are sideview characters that fly or dive.
- 8 directions input movement (toggleable via config module variable). Because without having it, two of the trhee character modes this script adds are night useless. If you have another character movement script, maybe it’s better to uncheck this option, to maximize compatibility.
Just to make sure you remember: The idle animation only works if the event/player has the ‘step animation’ ON. You can event that, I’m sure.
